Journal Entry: 2026/01/11 Location: Ar's Station (Ironheart) / Isle of Teletus / Rive-de-Bois Mood/Title: Family Bonds and Frayed Tempers
The day was heavy with family matters, beginning with a visit from my daughters, Catherine and Caroline. I am still feeling a bit numb from my recent loss, but their support is a comfort. We decided to travel together to the Isle of Teletus—though the reason was grim. Catherine needed to have her slave, Doe, disciplined with ten lashes. While I am no stranger to the realities of our world, I chose to distance myself from the punishment, preferring to focus on the surroundings of Teletus.
At Teletus, we encountered Alaric, the head slaver. What should have been a professional arrangement turned sour quickly. Catherine attempted to negotiate the price of the lashes, claiming Alaric had previously used the wrong whip and caused "unneeded damage" to her property. Alaric did not take the insult well; he dropped the silver coins on the floor, dismissed us, and stormed off. It was a tense exchange that left Catherine quite frustrated, though I had to admire Alaric's pride in his craft. Surprisingly, Alaric later approached me in private with a formal apology and a letter for Catherine, which I’ve promised to deliver.
Later, we joined Catherine for a game of Zar in Rive-de-Bois. It was a beautiful area, and though I didn't play, watching the tournament and the interaction between players like Janus and Nova was a welcome distraction. I ended the day with some shopping, collecting several new veils and hair styles to refresh my appearance for the coming week.
To Do:
Deliver Alaric’s "Formal Apology and Clarification" letter to Catherine as soon as possible.
Unpack and organize the new Truth hair styles and Enfant Terrible garments.
Figure out the proper color commands for the new FW Essentials Veil (the steelblue and navy settings seem finicky).
Follow up with the Governor regarding the community registration documents Caroline returned to me.
Check the zCS Discord for updates, as there were several meter mismatches during my travels today.
