The day began with a series of quiet moments at home, but the atmosphere shifted rapidly as rumors of a kidnapping contract against me began to circulate. Rask remained a steady presence by my side, even as "Uncle" Izzy and Vlad arrived to heighten our security. It is strange to feel so safe yet so hunted at the same time. The tension of the city felt palpable, especially when we had to retreat indoors to avoid potential raiders or assassins. Despite the looming threat, there was a warmth in seeing my family and friends rally together—even if they are "dangerous uncles" and sell-swords. Rask’s protective nature is becoming more evident, and his interaction with my father’s men shows he is willing to stand his ground for me.
