Journal Entry: 2026/01/28 Location: Ar's Station Mood/Title: Old Faces and New Ambitions
The morning air at the port was thick with the scent of salt and the sound of distant ship bells. I spent much of my time navigating the social waters of the Scribe caste. A woman named Rajani approached me, seeking the Head of Caste—Sphere Proto. It was amusing to see her "steal the thunder" of a visiting Magistrate, but I was happy to point her in the right direction. It seems Sphere is a busy man, only available in four-hour windows, which left me to handle the preliminary introductions for Legion Dryden. Legion is a Scribe with a wealth of experience from Ar and Selnar, and he’s keen on joining us as a Magistrate. I’ve already got a perfect office in mind for him.
Later, a truly delightful surprise: I ran into Andros Mosely! Seeing a familiar face in the winding streets of the Station always warms the heart. My daughter, Caroline, was giving him a tour. He’s still a Merchant at heart but mentioned an interest in becoming a Merchant Magistrate. It’s a niche that would serve the city well, especially with the Sardar Fair and other carnivals on the horizon. The city is growing, the "family" is expanding, and for a moment, the twisty turns of the Station felt a little more like home.

Message for Sphere: Ensure Sphere Proto gets Legion Dryden’s credentials and note regarding his interest in the Magistrate position.
Magistrate Office: Draft a proposal for the office space I mentioned to Legion; check if it meets the requirements for a high-caste workspace.
Sardar Fair: Start a file on the upcoming Sardar Fair. If the city is to participate, we need to coordinate with the Merchant Caste (perhaps Andros or Lady Bea).
Merchant Magistrate Research: Look up the specific protocols for Merchant Magistrates to better advise Andros on his "settling" process.
