The Geography of the Mind - February 9

Journal Entry: 2026/02/09 Location: Ar's Station (Hidden Falls) Mood/Title: The Geography of the Mind

Today I delivered the sixth lecture in my series, focusing on Gorean Language and Literature. It was a smaller group—mostly just Kelly and Tariq—but the intimacy allowed for a deeper dive into the "soft tools" of our civilization. I challenged them to look beyond the physical world of steel and stone to see how language defines our reality. We discussed the sharp divide between Vulgar and High Gorean, and why a citizen's speech is their most valuable jewelry.

Tariq, ever the historian, offered some perspective on the objectivity of the past, though I reminded him that on Gor, the Scribe’s ink often decides who is a hero and who is a footnote. We ended the session discussing the assignment: a formal petition. I’m curious to see if they can master the precision required of the High Castes. Kelly asked an interesting question about the Black Caste at the end; it’s a sobering reminder that even in a world of poetry and music, the threat of steel is never far away. Now, I must prepare for my real-world appointments.

To Do:

  • Review the petitions submitted by the students.

  • Prepare materials for next week's difficult session on Social Dynamics and the Natural Order.

  • Finalize the setup for the Station Academy classes starting tomorrow.

  • Check the moisture levels on the Dragon Wing Begonias before heading out.
