Mood/Title: The Mystery of the Vanished Archives
Met a traveling scribe named Thomas Moore today and sought to show him the scholarship of Ar's Station. My heart sank as we toured the High Caste courtyard—the library is empty, and the city archives have vanished entirely. I cannot fathom how such a mountain of records could be moved without the notice of the Scarlets.
I spoke with my son Magnus near the docks; he suggested his brother might be behind the removals for renovations, but the lack of communication is troubling. A librarian-turned-kajira named Meena overhead our concerns; it seems the loss of books pains more than just the Scribes. I must leave word for the Governor and the High Council immediately. Something is ill at ease in the stacks.
