Merchant Report (Drusus Amadeus Titus)
Introduction: Drusus introduced himself as Head Merchant and leader of the Titus Brothers Company.
Trade Status: * Exports: Wines (Imperial Ar’s), nectars, river fare, various meats (vulo, tarsk, verr, bosk), fruits, grains, and crafted goods (pottery, smithy items, furs, lumber).
Needed Imports: Specialized wines (Cosian, Turian, Taharian), exotic meats (tabuk, gant), spices, cocoa, fabrics (silk, wool), and medical supplies. There is a high priority on increasing weaponry stock (swords, bows, shields).
En’Kara Fair: Secured two tents for Ar’s Station residents. The fair starts March 12th (Opening Ceremony) and concludes March 22nd.
Note: Nero Titus will lecture at the Merchant Tent on March 16th at 2 pm SLT.
Gorean Merchant Association (GMA): Ar’s Station has officially joined the GMA. Benefits include capped taxes (5%), mutual defense against trade disruption, and bulk purchase discounts.
Scribe Report (Sphere Proto)
Caste Growth: The Scribe caste now has 10 members, with Vougan recently appointed as Record Keeper.
Diplomacy: Working with Ambassador Lady Jacquie to familiarize her with customs. There is a plan to approach the city of Olni to open gates for shared festivals.
Building Report (Asher Laurent)
Infrastructure: The refit of the fort is complete and ready for occupancy. Continuous improvements are ongoing throughout the Station.
Citizen Concerns (Lady Kati Evans)
Lady Kati presented a formal petition covering four pillars:
Hospitality: Better protection for free women and visitors against "shadowed whispers" and improper approaches.
Visibility: A request for Caste Heads to be more active and visible in the public plazas and markets.
Transparency: Merchants and Council offices should post clear hours of labor/operation.
Recruitment: Initiation of formal apprenticeships for Scribes and Warriors to bolster thin ranks.

[13:14] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar) stood and greeted, then began a short introduction about himself. "Tal. My name is Drusus Amadeus Titus, and I stand before you as the appointed Head Merchant of Ar’s Station. As the eldest of the Titus siblings, I am also the head of the Titus Brothers Company. From childhood, I was trained by my father, Marcus Titus, along with personal tutors, to assume responsibility for the family’s trading company upon his passing. I travelled across Gor at his side, helping to establish trade routes and forging valuable contacts throughout the cities and ports of the world."
[13:15] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar) continued speaking after taking a short pause. "The observance of Merchant Law has always been among my highest priorities. In keeping with that principle, I have personally trained my brother Nero to fulfil the duties of Merchant Magistrate. As Head Merchant, it is my responsibility to ensure that Ar’s Station is well supplied with the goods, resources, and equipment necessary for its prosperity. I will work diligently to see that the needs of its residents are met and that the city continues to flourish through strong and honourable trade."
[13:17] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar): "As suggested to me, I would like to inform the Council Members of Ar's Station Exports and Imports." He said.
/me grabbed a list previously written to make sure he would not forget anything and began to read it. "As you all know, due to its excellent placement on the South bank of the Vosk River, Ar's Station offers a wide variety of provisions, supplies, and crafted goods to merchants, travelers, and citizens. These include: Several types of beverages, especially Imperial Ar's wines and Boleto's Ka-ka-na nectars. Fish and River Fare. Meats of vulo, tarsk, verr and bosk. Dairy goods and vulo eggs. Fruit which include berries, ta-grapes, ka-la-na fruit, hard and soft Larmas, peaches and plums. Raw vegetables and sacks of seeds. Sa-Tarna grain and flour. Olives and olive oil. Commodities like jams, preserves of fruit and honey. Different type of herbs and a few spices. Our crafted goods include Pottery and Smithy items as well as Verr and Bosk furs and hides. And last, materials such as lumber, timber, tar

[13:18] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar) cleared his throat and proceeded with the Imports now. "Ar’s Station is currently seeking merchants and suppliers able to provide the following goods: Cosian and Turian wines, Taharian wines, and Sake. Tabuk and gant meats are welcome too. Fruit such as melon, tospits, apricots, cherries, dates and raisins. We are always in need of additional herbs, as well as spices. Commodities like rence flour, sugar, salt, rice, cocoa powder, cocoa beans, black wine beans, different type of nuts, candy and chocolate are sought too. We also seek household goods like perfumes, bath oils, and lotions. As well as fabrics like silk, wool, linen and cotton. Medical Raw Ingredients, and Medical prepared items and equipment are always needed In Ar's Station. The weapons and defense that we are aim to increase are Swords, Daggers, Bows, Cross Bows and Shields."
[13:19] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar) finished his report on trade and continued explaining about En'kara. "This year we have been able to secure the rental of two tents at the En’Kara Fair, which will commence in six days ((13th of March)). The Opening Ceremony, however, is scheduled for the previous day ((12th of March at 4 pm SLT)). The Sardar Fair will conclude ten days later ((22nd of March)). The tents are available for our residents to rest, meet other residents and fairgoers, share experiences, motivate people to visit us at Ar's station and so on."
[13:20] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar): "I will also would like to add that there will be specially designated days for lectures at the various Caste Tents. Nero Titus will be delivering a lecture on the role of the Merchant Magistrate at the Merchant Tent in nine days' time ((16th of March at 2 pm SLT)). In addition, there will be several events throughout the fair that may be of interest to the residents of Ar’s Station. Everybody should be encouraged to attend and take part where possible."

[13:21] Asher Laurent listened on as the list was extensive with goods for trading, "I heard at the feast the At's Station became part of the Gorean Merchant Association, can you tell us a bit about that?"
[13:23] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar) took a few ehns to let the information sink and moved on, nodding as the Governor mentioned the GMA. "Yes, we have joined the Gorean Merchant Association (GMA) too. The main goals of this association are: First, to limit taxes and tariffs for Association members to no more than five percent of the amount indicated on the bills of sale, with the exact rate to be determined by the cities responsible for collecting such taxes. Second, to stand together as an Association in resisting competing groups, alliances, cities, or organizations that attempt to disrupt beneficial trade through intimidation or acts of violence. Third, to maximize profits for merchants by negotiating favorable discounts and bulk purchase agreements on selected goods. Fourth, to strengthen and guarantee markets among member cities and trading companies by establishing reliable and trustworthy trade relationships."
[13:24] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar) proceeded talking about the GMA after another short pause. "The way the Gorean Association works is that merchants, tradesmen, shipping and trading companies, caravan operators, and others engaged in commerce are encouraged to conduct business with the merchants and tradesmen of fellow member cities and trading companies within the Association. That said, merchants remain free to establish trade with non-member cities or companies whenever such arrangements prove advantageous. However, the GMA does expect that member cities and companies will be offered prices below the standard market rate when compared to non-members. As you all can see, the benefits of membership within this Merchant Association are considerable and serve to strengthen trade, cooperation, and prosperity among its members."

[13:26] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar) shook his head. "No, it isn't. It is run by the members themselves. Each member's representative has a vote. Trygg Tyran does facilitates the meetings so they all go smoothly."

[13:28] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar): "You are welcome, Sphere." He then continued. "Some of the cities and trading companies that belong to the GMA are Port Olni, Corcyrus, Cross Gor Trading Company, Oasis if Two Scimitars, Isfahan, White Larl Trading Company, Oasis of Tashid, Oasis of Lame Kaiila, Red Rock Oasis, City of Turmus, Jewel of the Thassa Trading Company, Desert Winds Trading Company, Torvaldheim, Holmesk, City of Lara, and Teletus, to mention a few. Thank you all for your attention." He added.
[13:28] Asher Laurent added, "Tell us Drusus can anyone of us attend the meetings that the GMA hold or is it only merchants."
[13:29] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar): "Most people that attend the meetings are merchants but any resident of any of the cities that belong to the GMA can attend. You both would be welcome there, of course."
[13:30] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar): "If you don't have any other questions, then that concludes my presentation."
[13:30] Kati Evans: Might I go so I can report to the Governor what happens?
[13:31] Asher Laurent nodded that, "Can you put out a notice when the meetings are so all the council knows, that may help any of us that would travel with you Drasus."
[13:32] Sphere Proto: I like the ambassador to join you for a meeting to get some experience of her own
[13:33] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar): "Yes, Kati, you may. I will let you know when the next meeting is. I will escort you there. Also, before I forget. The GMA meetings are rotated along the cities members, so we can have one here too." To Asher's words, he nodded. "I shall do that too. I am at present adding our merchants to the Association so they can keep in touch with new developments too."
[13:34] Asher Laurent looked over to Sphere, "Yes we do need to talk about the ambassador and what and where she is going and who she is connecting with."
[13:34] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar) nodded at Sphere. "I will let Lady Jacquie know too, Sphere."

[13:37] Asher Laurent put one scroll away, "Good introduction Drusus, I think it is fair to say we have all learned something from that."
[13:38] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar) nodded. "We should let the Association know that we would like to have next meeting in Ar's station. They are usually quarterly meetings, though. If you are happy with me doing that, I will contact Trygg."
[13:40] Asher Laurent nodded, "Yes I am happy for that, is everyone else happy?" he would add, "The builders would like to know about how many attend the meetings so a place can be made ready."
[13:41] Sphere Proto nodded, "It would show Ar's Station is very involved and supportive"
[13:42] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar): "There were about thirty people in the last meeting. A main table with chairs around for the representative of every city and then chairs behind for those who wish to attend the meeting too. That is usually the set up of the meetings." He added on hearing Asher.

[13:46] Razor (razor.teardrop) lifted his shoulders , not knowing what to say or where to begin * I'd offer to place guards at the meeting , but it seems we're quite struggling to recruit those , so i'll have to say no , nothing to add *
[13:49] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar) nodded at Razor. "Guards would be good if you can get them, Sir. But many of those merchants come with their own guards too. If you can't get them, it should still be alright."
[13:50] Asher Laurent heard from the commander, "We did have a warrior here earlier that may have wanted to see more of the Station, I called out if any warriors could help him and I didn't hear anything back even though I heard we had some standing around."
[13:53] Asher Laurent looked to Sphere, "You have the floor if there is nothing else from the merchants and warriors."
[13:53] Razor (razor.teardrop) nodded * i know what you're saying , but i'd rather see our own gaurds here , our laws , our rules , so our guards to not have any missunderstandings * he'd reply to Drusus upon hearing Asher * Yes , i've been made aware of this , but it seemed like he was already ... * Pauses an Ihn * .... lets say getting formiliar with the Tavern * he'd add with a chuckle * Never the less we need more then just the one as i feel we may need them in the near future *
[13:53] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar) shook his head. "Nothing else from me, thank you for your attention." He then sat down on the cushion again.
[13:54] Sphere Proto got to his feet looking at Razor, "I tend to agree with the commander", he said and pulled out a piece of paper
[13:56] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar) also agreed with the commander's words about the guards but didn't add up anything else, and just resumed his attention on Sphere.
[13:58] Sphere Proto: "From the caste of scribes I do not have much to report. We have 10 members in the case, of which Vougan is the latest addition taking the position of Record keeper. Most of my time is focused on helping lady Jacqui our ambassador to get familiar with customs and procedures. I has a request for Drusus before the meeting, but with the information he provided about products the city can provide or needs, I can make a list for her to start with....", Sphere said and took a breath
[13:59] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar): "I have already have that meeting with Lady Jacquie, Sphere. I did tell her about our Exports and Imports so she knows what is what now."

[14:02] Sphere Proto: "Thank you Drusus, then I can take that off my list. That leaves us to make a short list of cities to think of to visit which are not connected to the GMA and ", looking at Drusus, "Might be interesting for the merchants to get to know as well. Then after that, With the council's approval approach Olni to see if they are willing to open their gates to share in events and festivals. I've been in contact with them several times before and it has always been a good relation", Sphere said, "Are there any questions about lady Jacqui's duties?"

[14:04] Sphere Proto turned his paper over, "Then I have a suggestion for the council about a position or role which is not caste specific. I like to have a person appointed responsible for organizing all the city's events and festivals. To maintain communication with allies to invite them and receive their invitations to share with us."
[14:05] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar) nodded at Sphere when he mentioned about taking that off his list. "Glad I was able to help. I believe her intention was going to Olni too on the day I saw her. I am not sure if she was able to do that or not."
[14:07] Sphere Proto nodded to Drusus, "She mentioned that to me as well and asked to take someone with her. Unfortunately I was hindered to follow up on it."
[14:09] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar): "I can go with her if she needs an escort. I could aim to meet their Head Merchant as well. I already offered that to her. Please, could you remind her that as well?"
[14:11] Sphere Proto smiled in appreciation, "Of course, I will have her meet with you as a follow up. I think that saves both of you some time."
[14:12] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar): "Indeed! I look forward doing that. Thank you, Sphere."

[14:13] Sphere Proto looked over to Razor, "I'm glad to hear that. I like to use the opportunity for someone of the rarii to escort her when visiting some of the cities. They might have the opportunity to do some scouting."

[14:15] Asher Laurent looks up to Sphere, "Anything else from the scribes?"
[14:16] Sphere Proto: Just your first thought om my suggestion for an event organizer. Is that something to follow up on, or is there already someone performing such tasks?

[14:18] Asher Laurent said to Sphere, "That person responsible for organizing all the city's events and festivals would have to come through the building caste as it is us the set up." looked over, "Greetings sir."
[14:18] Kati Evans nods and remains quiet.
[14:20] Sphere Proto nodded looking at Asher, "That is the least that person would have to do to get the appointed space and arrange decorations in advance when needed. There may be other matter what need to be arranged and that's something why I might even have the person present their ideas to the council for approval, whether that is in writing or in person."
[14:25] Asher Laurent listened on, "Events have already been set up well down the road here already, if you find a person please have him or her meet me that I may see the post fill with the appropriate person."
[14:25] Vougan (vougankar) sat quietly upon the cushion near the edge of the council chamber, lowering myself slowly so as not to disturb the gathering. The fabric beneath me was firm but comfortable, and I folded my legs beneath me in silence. I had only just entered the room, and it was immediately clear that the discussion among the men had already been underway for some time.
[14:26] Sphere Proto smiled and gave Asher a nod, "Then what is all from the caste of scribes, I thank the council members for their time"

[14:27] Asher Laurent stood up reading from a scroll, "We the builders have finished the refit of the fort, all areas in the fort are ready to be moved into, we keep making improvements around the Station when needed." he added, "On a side note I would like all to think about bring a second person from each caste to the council meetings, this second person will have no voting rights, but I think the input could benefit us all, it is only a thought and will have to be voted on."
[14:29] Sphere Proto nodded, "It's been on my mind as well, in case any of us is traveling."

[14:31] Drusus Amadeus Titus (abel.belgar) knew who Drusus will bring the meetings and added. "How can we put the name of the second person forward to be voted on and when?" He asked.
[14:36] Asher Laurent looked at Drusus, "We can vote if this is an idea what all here would like moving forward, my vote is yes, a person from each caste can come to council meetings, that second person has no voting rights as such, only heads of high caste can vote."

[14:36] Sphere Proto: "My vote is yes.. and he's already here"
[14:38] Asher Laurent counted the votes, "All can bring a second person to council from here on, keys will be given to that second person if a name can be handed to me after the meeting."

[14:39] Asher Laurent added, "We also have no head of Physicians, we do have a male in caste and they are still working it out so we will leave that for now." looked down at the scroll and kept speaking, "As we have the fair coming up we also have oath taking to the Home Stone, that is offered to anyone and we will keep doing that." looked over to Kait, "If anyone has anything to say or ask please do as Lady Kati will be next."

[14:41] Vougan (vougankar) met Sphere gaze as he looked over his shoulder at me. A small smile formed on my lips, calm and respectful. I inclined my head slightly toward him, acknowledging both his attention and the responsibility that now rested upon me.

[14:42] Kati Evans: I stand before you to give voice to the grave concerns of citizen and visitor alike. As a servant of the City, and to ensure our culture remains anchored in honor and governed by the Code, I submit the following for your immediate judgment:
[14:42] Kati Evans: I. On Hospitality and the Sanctity of the Home Stone
[14:43] Kati Evans: We must become more vigilant guardians of those who seek sanctuary within our walls. The reputation of our Home Stone withers when free women are subjected to the cowardice of shadowed whispers and the stain of improper approach. As Heads of Caste, the mantle of responsibility is yours; ensure the peace is not profaned by those who wear your colors. Let no free woman feel the shadow of dishonor, for when a single brother wavers, the honor of the entire Order is diminished and the good reputation of the city falters.
[14:43] Kati Evans: II. On the Visibility of Leadership
[14:44] Kati Evans: There is a rising plea for the Heads of Castes to be heard in our streets and seen in our plazas. Leadership is not found in silent decrees or the dust of distant scrolls, but in the steel and spirit of face-to-face engagement. By walking among the people, you breathe life into the stones of this city. The Home Stone is only as strong as the bond between its leaders and its citizens; therefore, let your presence be felt from the High Halls to the lowliest marketplace.
[14:44] Kati Evans: III. On the Record of Presence and Commerce
[14:45] Kati Evans: The voices of the citizens request that the stalls of the Merchants and offices of the High Council display clear records of their hours of labor. Let the heartbeat of the Council and the Markets be known to all, so that no citizen finds a barred door when seeking wisdom or trade. Such transparency signage will vitalize our commerce and foster the engagement necessary for a thriving station.
[14:45] Kati Evans: IV. On the Vitality of the Pillars
[14:46] Kati Evans: The Scribes and Warriors must be more than names upon a roster; they must be the living sinew of our streets. Currently, our ranks are thin, and a city is only as strong as the ink that records its honor and the steel that defends it. I propose the immediate initiation of formal apprenticeships and public demonstrations of both martial and scholarly prowess. Through active recruitment, we shall rebuild these essential pillars and ensure our legacy remains unbroken.
[14:46] Kati Evans: I thank the Council for their ears and for the consideration of these matters, which I, as Scribe, bring forth on behalf of the people of Ar's Station. I have spoken for those whose voices do not reach these heights. I await the wisdom of the Council.

Some may not have been the right choice to hand our keys to the gates to . * clears his throat before continuing * But may i add that the responsibility of the safety of our citizens is not just up on the Red Caste . Yet as I considered his words, they felt difficult to dismiss. A faint smile crossed my face, thoughtful rather than amused, and I gave a small nod to myself. Perhaps he was right.
