Authority within the Station rests with this High Council which is us, composed of the recognised Heads of Caste, acting in unity and by duty. I open this meeting and welcome you all."

I hold responsibility for the Station’s structures, terrain, and works. My charge is to ensure that what is built here serves both function and form, and remaining to the best of my abilities to stay true to Gorean custom. If you could each say a little something about yourself for each of us and the record."

I know thats a mouthful and to some I am a handful as well because I insist on physicians that do their job diligently. I expect a physician to heal and not do harm to anybody, according to our oath, to wear our colors with pride and to adhere the established way of treating patients, not going off the rail with fancy ideas or with sadistic notions." He smirks dryly.

[13:16] Sphere Proto waited for Samuel to finish and smiled for a moment, "I'm Sphere Proto, Head of caste for the scribes. It is my goal to lead, support and train the member of our caste to register the truth, our history and shape our communication in a way that is clear to all and available to all who are allowed access to it. This for the information that is processed, but also for all legal matters", Sphere spoke calmly in his usualy deep voice.

[13:19] Asher Laurent nodded over to them both, "I will start with a brief overview of current stability that I have found that since the gates opened here at the Station I have seem many sail in and back out again. This new generation of Goreans is concerning for me as it's all about the here and now and not about the future. I don't know if any of you are seeing this. The landscape of Gor has changed a lot. When I talk to them they are looking for events and fun right now. We as the people that live here can't be held to entertain people daily, we have all got our business to go about and do and families to look after. How are the two of you finding things at this time?"

[13:32] Asher Laurent did agree with what was said, "Another big concern for me is Lara and it holding classes, this is not how it use to be as the young learned under senior members and by time doing on the job training. I for one will not support Lara and what is going on over there and it only comes down for me getting people to sail over for yet another event and calling it a class. have you heard anything about this?"

Though I don't disagree with his methods or classes, I think the duration of his classes are to short and the period of the apprenticeship as well if even present in the cities.."

[13:42] Kati Evans: I am able to tell you a little about the classes in Lara. Abraham is running the school and trying to keep the old classes going that Lady Janette taught. Most are 10 weeks of classes. I will be teaching one on Mondays at two different times.
[13:42] Samuel Theodore Massey (samvimesofank) adds scratching his beard "I heard that Turmus wanted to hold physician classes, but...nobody attended. Maybe time will simply solve this ...... folly. I do not mind training but there is the university and there are established way that ensures quality control. Maybe their classes are good, maybe not, but it opens the door for others and pray tell what they might teach."

[13:47] Asher Laurent listened, "The bigger picture is this teaching is not happening on our own land, we as heads of caste should be teaching all under us, why send people to another land for someone else to teach them, I didn't sail all over Gor and attend classes for my trade, I look up to people above me. This takes away from what we are trying to do here, but that is my thoughts about it and I will move on." opened another scroll and read from it, "We as builders have been looking at the library and how we can make it more functional to fit the needs of all, it has been pointed out that we have no real library of scrolls for people to sit and read, I think back when I was young this was something at all did including myself, the question is do people still do that with what is available out there to get a hold of in the way of information?"
[13:51] Sphere Proto shook his head, "For the same reason as I mentioned before, the young think they don't have to spend their time reading and studying, but can copy the actions and behaviors of others. It is only when I personally train a ward that use the content of a library or.. my personal connection if I find the library not to be complete."
[13:52] Samuel Theodore Massey (samvimesofank) scratches his head "I do but then, I am old fashioned. The tools they use today I view with suspicion because the source is not always ...transparent. I agree with Sir Sphere totally on that matter."

[13:56] Asher Laurent listened to what they both found, "In the way of coordination with each of us I don't have any cross caste concerns at this point, all of us don't have a lot in our caste to lead, I sit around the docks a lot again we are back to the quality of people and are they willing to be loyal to one caste and place and be here?" took out another scroll and moved it along, " We have the upcome trip to Ar to find our Home Stone and bring it back, I have seen some hands that want to be part of it, again not as many as I had of hoped, but we will travel to Ar no matter what and move this Station along, we are here for the long haul and will not be turning to dust overnight."

[14:02] Asher Laurent spoke "As the trip will be ongoing over time I'm sure your support will be appreciated Sphere" smiled, "Lady Kati here reports to the Governor and in all our meetings will take notes, we don't have any red caste, warriors here as of yet which is a big loss to me and the Station, but again I am hoping in time. How often would you all like us to meet to talk over caste business?"
[14:05] Sphere Proto thought on the question, "I think once every four hands would suffice. Most of the time it will keeping each other up to date on progress. In case there is something urgent, we can always request an additional meeting."

[14:09] Asher Laurent thought that to be a good time frame, "End of every four hands it is, I thank you for attending our first council meeting, I hope we can take something from this away with us in thought and deed, be well and go out there and enjoy what we do best here." he stood up.

[14:16] Kati Evans: It would be nice to discuss them and other things that you may want here.
[14:17] Sphere Proto nodded slowly, "Then lets go over that. Such topics might be easy to start with as it takes less work compared to starting from the beginning."

[14:23] Sphere Proto chuckled, "I have to have a look at the office myself. That's what I have planned for tomorrow. But as I generally use an office only to meet with people, I don't need much. As for my house, it's on the lower level behind Darian's house. Do you know where that is?"
