The day was dominated by the weight of leadership as the High Council convened for our second formal meeting. The air in the council chamber was thick with anticipation, flickering oil lamps casting long shadows against the banners of our respective castes. As the Governor's Scribe, I sat ready with my quills to record the decisions that will sculpt the future of the Station.
The session was productive, though not without its points of contention. We spent considerable time refining the protocols for our Ambassadors. Asher was firm in his belief that the current documentation was incomplete; he provided a more rigorous "Ambassador's Record and Reference" that he expects our representatives to know by heart. We also formally voted to admit Drusus Amadeus Titus (Head of the Merchants) to the Council, ensuring the Scarlet, Blue, and Green castes are joined by the vital voice of trade.
Commander Valerius Triarius shared encouraging news regarding our defenses: a former Captain of Ar, Hector Clegane, has joined the Scarlet Caste. With the Home Stone reportedly on its way back to us, these reinforcements are timely. Asher and Valerius will be coordinating closely on the refitting of the fort to prepare for the celebration that will follow the Stone's arrival.
