Educational Encounters and System Hiccups - February 24

 Journal Entry: February 24, 2026

Location: Ar's Station

Mood/Title: Educational Encounters and System Hiccups

It was an early and somewhat scattered morning at the Station Academy. I was busy managing the new interactive calendar board, which proved to be quite finicky, occasionally throwing error messages and insisting I had no calendars loaded. The system eventually stabilized, displaying the week's robust schedule, including my own upcoming sessions on Gorean Laws and Customs and the open-topic discussions.

I had several brief encounters throughout the morning. Carola stopped by and we playfully debated my unofficial title; she suggested "Head Teacher" or "Administrator," noting my direct line to the Governor rather than a Head Scribe. Later, Kaellaed Rhode visited, though he was plagued by persistent connection issues. Despite his frequent disappearances, we managed a productive conversation about his potential role at the Academy. He's considering teaching a class on the distinctions between city law, merchant law, and the law of the "jungle," focusing on arrest procedures and trials. I suggested he might also enjoy leading an open discussion or sharing his experiences as a Magistrate and a Master.

My afternoon was spent leading a class on Gorean Laws and Customs at the Gorean Campus. It was a well-attended session where we explored the nuances of daily life, from the importance of Sa-Tarna and the protocols of dining, to the strict dress codes defining the castes and the intellectual rigor of Kaissa. The students were engaged, and I challenged them to observe the subtle social friction in their own cities as homework.

To Do:

  • Monitor the new calendar board to ensure it remains stable and updates correctly.

  • Follow up with Kaellaed Rhode once his connection issues are resolved to finalize a topic and time for his first class.

  • Review the homework assignments submitted by the students from the Gorean Campus class.
