Fairground Navigations and Academy Refinements - March 14

Journal Entry: March 14, 2026

Location: Ar's Station / En'Kara Fairgrounds

Title: Fairground Navigations and Academy Refinements

The atmosphere at Ar's Station remains focused on the En'Kara festivities, though I spent much of the morning attending to the Academy's needs. I finalized the integration of the Sardar Fair schedule into our XANBoard, including the Scribe Tent events provided by Trygg Tyran. The fairgrounds are proving to be quite a maze; I spent some time exploring the Southwest and Southeast sectors, collecting several valuable additions for the library, including a full collection of Gorean reference books, cookbooks, and poetry scrolls.

I had a brief but pleasant morning greeting with Sir Legion and spent time organizing new administrative files for the Governor's office. Later, I met with my son Asher at the school. We had a frank discussion about the room's aesthetics and prim usage. He moved a cabinet that didn't match the woodwork and emphasized the need for a balanced, professional environment. We also discussed the possibility of moving my personal office and home to a new corner of the city that he has been developing—it’s a very "cool" space with a great view, and the idea of being closer to the new scribe housing is quite appealing.

The rest of the day was a whirlwind of teleporting between the city and the various fair sectors. I managed to acquire even more reference materials—manuals on Gorean animals, medical herbs, and even a magazine from Venna. It is a productive time for the archives, even if the lag and constant sim restarts at the fairgrounds are a test of one's patience.

To Do:

  • Review the newly acquired "Sardar Fair Day 1 & 2" logs from the Scribe Tent.

  • Decision: Should I move my home and office to the new corner Asher suggested?

  • Continue the monumental task of indexing the 4,420+ library items.

  • Prepare for the upcoming 101 Week 6 lecture on "Gorean Language and Literature."
