December 4

Journal Entry: December 4, 2025

Location: Hidden Falls / The Great Hall Status: Disappointed but Resolute

The day began with awe and ended with a heavy, necessary cleansing of my household.

1. The Great Hall of the North Father (Wind) revealed the new main building for our homestead today—a massive, imposing Great Hall. It is breathtaking, a true fortress of the North with high ceilings, heavy timber, and two massive fireplaces to combat the freezing temperatures.

He offered me a room upstairs or the choice to keep my separate house. For now, I’ve claimed a corner of the main hall as my own little workspace with a desk. It feels right to be close to the center of the family's activity. Lacey and I later went to Kitty Creations to find furniture to fill the space, spotting a beautiful bedroom set and a fireplace that would fit perfectly.

We also named the NPC guards "The Winter Patrol." It’s starting to feel like a real stronghold.

2. The Betrayal of Red I wanted so badly for Red to be the one. I thought I had finally found a girl worth training, someone with potential. But today, the truth came out, and it was undeniable.

Wind and Lacey presented proof that she hasn't been writing her own words. She has been using an AI program to generate her responses—perfect grammar and length that didn't match her OOC typing at all. Worse than the laziness was the lying. She lied about her background, and she lied about the money Wind gave her to buy a proper silk outfit. He gave her 500L, and she claimed to me she couldn't afford the dress.

I can deal with a girl who makes mistakes. I cannot deal with a liar. Trust is the currency of the collar, and she spent hers.

Lacey banned her from the estate. I made the hard decision to sign her papers over. We didn’t just sell her; Wind posted in the groups that she is "free for the taking" to any man who can legally capture her. It is a harsh lesson, but a necessary one.

As for Safi, she has not appeared. Wind has forwarded her description to the "Flesh Eaters." If she doesn't show soon, she is lost.

3. Politics and Old Acquaintances We spent time discussing the laws of Var-Kor. I found a ridiculous rule in the city books stating that a Free Companion cannot be raped. Izzy and I had a good laugh at the absurdity of it—it’s clearly an old, outdated rule that protects men from consequences. Izzy suggested I challenge the Ubar on it, blaming the Silver Blades for the inquiry to keep the heat off me.

Altos Stark also came up in conversation. Father believes Altos has been lying about his real-world credentials (claiming to be a pilot). It paints a picture of a flake. Strangely enough, Altos visited me later in the day. It was brief and slightly awkward; he gave me "Cold Breath" (a visual effect for the cold) and fur boots, then hugged me and left. I’m not sure where I stand with him, but Father’s warning sticks in my mind.

4. Family Moments Despite the drama, there were moments of levity. Father was suffering from "the revenge of the chili" Lacey made, which had us all laughing. He also reminded me that the family has real lives—jobs, church, kids—so they won't be on every day. It’s good to know. I can relax and not worry if the hall is quiet sometimes.

I am down to zero slaves again, but I feel lighter. I have my title, my family, and a warm corner in the Great Hall.

Action Items:

  • Finish decorating my corner of the Hall.

  • Keep an eye out for the new initiate, Ruben.

  • Avoid "The Revenge of the Chili."
