Journal Entry: December 7, 2025 Location: Hidden Falls / The Great Hall Status: Quiet and Contemplative
Today was a quieter day, a welcome contrast to the whirlwind of the past week. It felt good to just be in my new home.
I spent most of the day in my corner of the Great Hall, adding small touches to make it feel more lived-in. I finally resized my desk so it fits the space better, and I even managed to find a comfortable chair from the AF collection to go with it. It’s starting to look like a proper Magistrate's workspace.
The hall was mostly empty, save for the occasional passing of family members. Relia popped in and out, and I saw Asher briefly, though we didn't speak much beyond pleasantries. It’s nice to have that comfortable silence, the kind where you don't feel pressured to entertain.
I did have a moment of reflection about Red. Seeing the empty space where a slave should be kneeling beside my desk is… strange. I don't miss the drama or the deception, but I do miss the presence. It’s quiet. Maybe too quiet.
I also spent some time organizing my inventory. With all the new clothes and furniture I’ve been buying to fit the Northern aesthetic, things were getting a bit chaotic. I found a few old notecards from Teletus—reminders of a life that feels increasingly distant.
Later in the evening, I took a walk around the grounds. The snow here is beautiful, especially under the moonlight. It’s cold, yes, but there’s a crispness to the air that clears the head. I’m starting to understand why Father loves this place so much.
No major events, no political upheavals, just a peaceful day in the North. Sometimes, that’s exactly what is needed.
To Do:
Finish organizing the rest of my inventory.
Maybe look into getting a rug for my workspace—the stone floor is freezing.
Check the mail again tomorrow for any news on the Ladies Tea.
